The Administrative Appeals Office (AAO) subsequently dismissed the appeal. The matter is now before the AAO on a motion to reopen. The motion will be dismissed. The petitioner is a computer wholesale company. It sought to employ the beneficiary permanently in the United States as a quality control engineer. The director denied the petition and the AAO dismissed the appeal on May 29,2002. The petitioner, through counsel filed a motion to reopen on June 27,2002. Review of Citizenship and Immigration Services [CIS] electronic records indicates that, subsequent to the filing of the instant motion, the alien obtained immigrant status as a lawful permanent resident on September 7, 2004, under Because the alien has obtained lawful permanent resident status, fwther pursuit of the matter at hand is moot. ORDER: The motion is dismissed, based on the alien's lawful permanent resident status.
