DISCUSSION: The Director, California Service Center, denied the application to extend a period of stay in
nonirnmigrant status. The matter is now before the Administrative Appeals Office on appeal. The appeal will be
rejected.
The petitioner seeks to extend her period of stay as a nonimmigrant dependent of an intracompany transferee
pursuant to $ 10 1 (a)(15)(L) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, 8 U.S.C. 1 101 (a)(15)(L). The director
denied the applicant's request for extension of nonimmigrant status after the nonimmigrant petition of the
applicant's father was denied. The applicant, through counsel, filed an appeal of the director's decision.
It is noted that 8 C.F.R. 214.1(~)(5) states that there is no appeal from the denial of an application for extension of
stay filed on Form 1-539.
The applicant's appeal must be rejected.
ORDER: The appeal is rejected.
